Where RouteReady gets bid data
RouteReady monitors publicly available procurement sources in Massachusetts for school transportation opportunities. Coverage is expanding, and we're honest about what we check today and what we don't yet.
COMMBUYS
ActiveState bid portalMassachusetts' primary public procurement portal. Monitored daily via keyword search for school transportation, pupil transportation, 7D, and school bus terms. Direct links to official bid pages are included on every result.
BidNet Direct (MA)
ActiveRegional bid aggregatorBidNet's Massachusetts public listing pages. Newest bids are title-filtered for transportation relevance. Issuing organization details require a BidNet vendor account, so those rows show 'Massachusetts (via BidNet)' as the source until unlocked.
Town and city bid pages
ExpandingMunicipal procurement pagesCivicPlus-powered and direct municipal procurement pages for Massachusetts cities and towns. Coverage grows as sources are verified and activated in our monitoring queue. We respect robots.txt on every source.
School district procurement pages
ExpandingDistrict direct pagesDedicated procurement, RFP, or bid pages from school district and collaborative websites. We check common paths (/procurement, /rfp, /bids) and sitemaps where allowed. Pages are reviewed before activation.
Public notices
PlannedLegal notice aggregatorsPublic legal notices including bid announcements published in newspapers and online notice platforms. Under evaluation, not yet active.
State Vendor Registry & award records
PlannedAward / contract dataAwarded contract records that inform Contract Intelligence: who won, at what amount, for what contract term. Under evaluation as a structured data source.
Robots.txt and scraping ethics
RouteReady respects robots.txt for every source we monitor. We never attempt to bypass bot-detection systems, scrape restricted pages, or access anything that isn't publicly available without authentication.
Coverage limitations
We don't claim full statewide coverage. Some districts post bids only on their own websites, in local newspapers, or in formats we can't reliably parse. RouteReady captures a meaningful slice of the Massachusetts market, not every opportunity. Supplement with your own source checks for districts most important to your business.
Data accuracy
Bid details are pulled from source portals at scrape time. Due dates, specifications, and contact info may change on the source after we capture them. Always click through to the official posting before submitting. Every RouteReady bid card shows a direct link to the original source.
