Contract predictions are estimates, not official dates

How predictions are generated

RouteReady estimates contract rebid windows based on publicly available award data: past contract start dates, term lengths, and historical re-bid patterns for similar districts. When a contract term is known (for example, a 3-year award starting September 2022), RouteReady estimates the next bid window will open roughly 3–6 months before the contract expires.

These estimates are derived from public records, not from direct communication with the district, confirmed renewal decisions, or official procurement calendars. Predicted dates may differ significantly from the actual bid window.

What predictions cannot tell you

• !Whether a district has decided to rebid, extend, or cancel a contract.
• !Whether a procurement has already been issued on a portal we haven't captured yet.
• !Whether the current incumbent has been renewed without a competitive bid.
• !The exact date a bid will be posted: only an estimated window.
• !Whether a contract award amount is exact or estimated from proxy data.

Confidence levels

Each prediction carries a confidence level: High, Medium, Low, or Unknown. A high-confidence prediction means the contract term, dates, and award history are well documented in public records. Low or unknown means RouteReady found limited or conflicting evidence and the estimate carries significant uncertainty.

Amount disclaimers

Contract amounts displayed in RouteReady are labeled with their source type: Exact (from an official award notice), Estimated (derived from partial records or comparable contracts), Payment proxy (inferred from payment data, not a formal award amount), or Unknown. Never treat an estimated or proxy amount as an authoritative figure.

If you believe a prediction is materially wrong (wrong term length, incorrect district, or stale award data), please email us. We'll review and correct the underlying data.
